Ring Resizing Process and Costs

At TAYLOR KOM, we understand how important it is to have a ring that fits perfectly. If you’ve ordered the wrong size, we offer a ring resizing service. Since we do not have a physical store, all resizing requests are handled online and by mail. Below are the details of our resizing service.

Turnaround Time

Our standard resizing process takes 3-5 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design. Rings with intricate details, especially those with diamonds set all around the band, may take longer. Some designs, such as eternity bands, cannot be resized.

Free Resizing Policy

We offer free resizing within 30 days of purchase under the following conditions:

  • Reducing the size: Up to three sizes smaller (e.g., size T to Q).
  • Increasing the size: Up to two sizes larger (e.g., size O to Q).

For customers who selected "Women Average Size O - Choose this if you don't know - Free Resize Later" at checkout, resizing labor is free within 30 days, and you only need to cover shipping costs.

Resizing Fees (Modification Fees)

For resizing beyond the free limits or after 30 days, modification fees apply:

  • Silver Rings: AUD $99
  • Gold (10K, 14K, 18K) & Platinum Rings: AUD $100 - $500, depending on the size adjustment and design complexity.

Rings That Cannot Be Resized

Some ring designs cannot be resized due to structural limitations, including:

  • Eternity Bands (diamonds or gemstones set all around the band).
  • Intricate and delicate designs that may be compromised by resizing.

For customers who need a minor size adjustment but cannot resize their ring, we offer ring adjusters that can be placed inside the band for a temporary fit solution.

How to Apply for Resizing

  1. Contact us at service@taylorkom.com to obtain a resize ticket number and return address.
  2. Our team will respond within 24 hours with further instructions.
  3. Pack your ring securely and clearly write your order number on the outside of the package before shipping it to us.

What Happens Next?

Once we receive your ring:

  • Our team will inspect it and confirm if resizing is possible.
  • If additional costs apply, we will notify you before proceeding.
  • After resizing, the ring will be cleaned, polished, and re-plated (if applicable).
  • We will send a final quality check photo or video before shipping it back to you.
